In June 2022, Greater Idaho Falls Transit (GIFT) On-Demand was launched and thanks to the support of the community, is now widely-used and catching the attention of dignitaries statewide. The Association of Idaho Cities' awarded GIFT for its success at its Annual Awards Banquet in June 2023 with a City Achievement Award in the category of Public Works and Transportation.
"The support of the mayor and city council of Idaho Falls has been instrumental in the success of GIFT. Each one has championed the service and from the beginning has understood the importance of public transit to the success of our residents and businesses," Idaho Falls City Council President and GIFT Board Chair and Secretary Michelle Ziel-Dingman said.
